Due to this, email marketing, niche marketing and direct marketing could make a comeback.
  2. Mobile marketing will take off in 2011, much like social media marketing did in 2010. People who do not have access to high speed Internet connections often have access to cell phone service, where they can access the Internet. People are also very busy and constantly on the go. Due to these two things, it can be expected that online marketers will need to be prepared for catering to mobile Internet users more than they ever have before.
  3. Marketing efforts will be placed on marketing smaller, niche type products than marketing well known trends. As Internet marketing competition grows, people will no longer be able to successfully market big trends without spending a lot of time and money to do so. By focusing on smaller products that have a unique consumer demand, marketers will concentrate their efforts on reaching a very specific and targeted audience, rather than reaching everyone they can.

There are several different possibilities when it comes to things that can be expected in Internet marketing in 2011. As the times change, strategies and marketing methods need to change too in order to keep up with what consumers want and expect.
