Email Newsletter Design
Creating a newsletter goes through different stages. Each stage involves performing a particular set of tasks. At one stage, the publisher needs to work on the newsletter design. Many publishers tend to do this task in a rough manner. They do not see the importance of the design. They tend to focus on other tasks such as content creation at the expense of other tasks such as creating an interesting design for the newsletter.
If you are to create a successful newsletter, you should attend to and work on all the different components of your newsletter. Neglecting any aspect of your newsletter can have dear consequences on its performance both in the short run and long run. If you are going to present high-quality content to your readers or subscribers, why not present it in an attractive and well-made template. This will make your newsletter look even more professional in their eyes.
In order to make a good email newsletter design, there are a few simple things that you need to learn. First, you will need to download an HTML editor. Nvu and KompoZer are the best free ones in my opinion. If you would like to use a commercial editor, you can go with Dreamweaver. Open a blank page in your editor. Insert two columns on this page. You can simply do this by inserting two tables or a two-column table.
If you choose the former, you should make sure that the tables are laid side by side. The two columns should be resized so that the right-hand column which constitutes our sidebar occupies no more than one third of the whole width of the newsletter. The left-hand column will clearly be used for containing the newsletter’s main article. We can insert a header and footer in the same fashion, i.e. by inserting tables.
