How To Charge High Fees For Your Work

How To Make More Money

I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I’m an expungement attorney. That means I help people every day remove criminal convictions from their record so they can begin living as normal citizens again. But that’s not the only secret. Here’s the other one – I charge nearly double what my competitors do for the same work. And I’m very busy. How do I do it? Keep reading to find out.

The first key to charging higher fees, and making more money for your work, is believing that you are worth it. In my case, as an expungement lawyer, I know the work I do is top notch. I know when someone hires me they are going to get the best service possible, and with me they have the best chance of getting the results they want. That’s why I feel comfortable asking for a higher fee. That’s why I know I’m worth it.

Second, you have to be able to demonstrate that ability to the client. You have to be able to tell them why you are different from everyone else. You have to show them why you are different from everyone else, and you have to make them trust that you are the right person for the job. You can do this in several ways, but the bottom line is you have to make sure everything you do is top notch, promotes what you are saying, and makes the potential clients feel comfortable.

One thing I think you’ll find rather interesting when you start asking for higher fees is that people will intrinsically start associating that with higher quality. Unless you are selling a commodity that is easily produced by others and is therefore subject to a price comparison, you’ll see that people are looking for indicators that your service is better than others, and price is one of them. I know that in my expungement lawyer experience that was the case. Once I started asking for higher fees I started getting them.
