1.  Begin with items that are low cost —  Your readers will get to know you and become comfortable with your recommendations over time.  In the beginning, however, they don’t know you yet.  They will be reluctant to take a chance on products that will cost them a lot of money.  So start out low.  There is less risk to the readers and they will be more willing to give your products a try.  As you begin to earn their trust you can introduce higher priced products.

2.  Focus on problem solving —  Successful make money blogs sell products that will solve a problem for their readers.  Do some brainstorming and determine what the common problems are in your niche.  Then recommend products that provide solutions to these problems.  Your readers will be happy to buy these type of products.  They will also be happy with you for providing something of value.  Now they will be more likely to listen to your recommendations in the future.

3.  Stick with products you know —  Is there a product that you have used that you were happy with?  If so, then it is a great product to recommend.  You can rest easy knowing that the product is good and that your readers will be happy with it.  It is always a good idea to recommend products or services that you have had a positive experience with.  If you recommend a product that you know nothing about it can backfire.  If the product turns out to be crap then it reflects poorly on you.  You cannot afford to damage your reputation this way.

If you are blogging to make money, you can see that selecting the proper products is critical to your blog’s success.  It should be apparent that there is more to it than just randomly picking products.  They must be relevent to your readers, affordable, and of value.  Once you have picked the right products, then you can focus on developing a good reputation and earning your reader’s trust.  This is a winning combination that will help you make money blogging.
